Welcome to The Retreat at The Coastal Collection with a Scandinavian beach-inspired design, perfect for families, couples, and laid-back groups seeking a relaxed and invigorating stay. We've created a space that reflects the type of place we'd love to holiday in ourselves!
Please make sure you give everything a good read before booking to make sure our place is suitable for you :) The Retreat is a 3 Storey townhouse if you have mobility issues please be mindful it is an 'upside down' house with lots of stairs :)
At our seaside retreat, you'll find everything you need for the perfect tranquil spa getaway. After a day of exploring Blackpool, return to our property and unwind in the enclosed spa area, featuring a sauna, outdoor shower, and decking area with a hot tub. For an exhilarating experience, why not take a brave plunge in our Scandinavian bucket drop after the sauna? Inspired by the renowned Wim Hof (The Ice Man), we believe in the benefits of hot/cold therapy. You can also enjoy a refreshing swim in the sea on your doorstop for additional mind, body, and soul benefits. At The Retreat, you'll find all you need for a rejuvenating escape, and you may never want to leave!
Situated just yards away from the sandy beach, our location allows you to breathe in the invigorating sea air and let your worries drift away. The coastal town of Thornton-Cleveleys offers a wide range of shops, bars, restaurants, as well as a cinema, gym, arcades, skate park, and playing fields within walking distance. Blackpool, a mere 4 miles away along the coastline, provides endless activities for everyone. From visiting the famous Blackpool Tower to exploring Sea Life Blackpool or enjoying a day of thrill-seeking at The Pleasure Beach, there's something for everyone. For nature enthusiasts, delightful walks await you in the Forest of Bowland, Yorkshire Dales, and the Lake District.
As you enter this holiday home, you'll be welcomed by a spacious entrance hall, perfect for leaving sandy flip flops or winter coats and boots. Move through to the cinema-style room, with a starlight ceiling, creating a peaceful space for everyone to enjoy. The room features a double sofa bed, ideal for cosy nights in with a glass of wine and a film. Next, you'll find your very own bar area complete with a drinks chiller and fridge (alcohol not included!), perfect for keeping your drinks chilled while you relax outside. Adjacent to the bar area is our cozy snug, leading out to the decked terrace. Completing the ground floor is a WC with a separate shower.
Heading upstairs, you'll discover the bright and spacious first-floor open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, banquette seating and large windows that offer sea views. This area serves as the hub of the house, providing the perfect space for socializing, relaxing on the sofas, or enjoying meals at the large dining tables while taking in the views. The kitchen is fully equipped with amenities, including electric double oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher.
On the second floor, three bedrooms await you. The large bedroom features two double twin beds and boasts fantastic views of the coast below. Additionally, there's a small bunk bedroom with a triple sleeper (small double and single bed) and a double bedroom. Completing the property is a bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, and WC.
Step outside, and you'll be transported to a beautiful oasis, featuring a hot tub, 8-person sauna, Scandinavian cold bucket drop, whiskey barrel plunge bath, terrace area, and comfortable furniture, including swing seats and a hammock (seasonal) Festoon lights and designer LED fire and ice elements truly make this space magical! Relax and create unforgettable memories at this wonderful accommodation.

- Do you provide towels? Yes we provide 2 towels for each guest, a hand towel and medium towel, also a few hot tub towels, kitchen towels and additional hand towels for the bathrooms.
- Is there a chance of an early check in? Guests are not normally able to check in early as the housekeeping team will still be working hard to clean and prepare for your arrival, you are more than welcome to park up early and go for a walk into town, lots of coffee shops, cafes and bars or even a walk on the beach

- Is there a chance of a late check out? We are unable to assist with a later check out as our housekeeping team are on a tight schedule and rota so need to start work at check out time. You are more than welcome to leave any cars etc.. at the home and go out for breakfast after check out.
- * Can we have a one night stay?
- our policy is a 2 night minimum stay.
- Is there an extra key? We do not provide more than one key as we provide a lock box on the outside of the property, In that way there is always a key in a safe place at the home If you wish to leave the property.
- How do we get the keys? The Key will be in the lockbox for you at check in time and we will give you a code on the morning of check in.
- Please make sure the key is returned to the lockbox after your stay. We are just a message away if you need help with anything

- Do you have a travel cot or baby high chairs etc..? Guests are asked to bring there own cots/high chairs to guarantee their own babies safety with a cot they are used to. Our insurances do not cover us to provide one to guests.
- How many cars can we park and is there additional spaces nearby? You can park 3 cars on the driveway to the front of the home (the 3rd car parked across the other 2 side on to block the other 2 cars in, please do not park over the lines or park on any neighbours properties or driveways. Additional parking can be found around the corner on Beach Road. There are no parking restrictions there and only a very short walk.
- Is the Hot Tub Covered? Yes the hot tub is fully undercover

- Is the Hot Tub Private? The hot tub is not a shared facility a day you have total private use to it with your booking. Please be mindful neighbouring properties can sometimes see into the the garden so not 100% private when bathing. We have provided curtains for screening.
- Is the house private or shared with other guests? Yes we definitely do not have guests sharing with other strangers and guests! You have the entire house to yourself no sharing going on

- Do you provide Condiments? Salt, pepper, oil etc..? Yes we have all the basics you need to cook meals, some sauces, spices etc.. too. We do not provide milk.
- Do you have enough utensils, pots pans etc.. to prepare a meal? Yes we have everything you need to cook and prepare a meal, you just need to bring along yourself and the food!
- Can we have visitors that are not staying over? In the aspects of health, safety, security and insurances we are only covered for the guests on the booking so unfortunately you wouldn't be able to have any visitors or extra guests at the home at any time unless they are registered on the booking.
- Can we stay in the garden/Hot tub after 10pm? Under no circumstances can you do this as it is a council enforcement in the area to protect all the local surrounding residential residents to have peace in their homes. It is crucial this is respected

- It's a special occasion, is there anything extra we can have at the home? Yes! We have made good contacts if you are looking to make your occasion that extra bit special! Whether it is a private chef, private yoga class, in-house spa day,massages and pamper parties, cocktail making, or even just baloons, they have you covered!
- Other notes..
- Please make sure all guests are included in the booking regardless if they are staying over or not. We accept visitors on request, everybody needs to be added into the booking so we can register the amount of guests in total. Price is based on how many guests are staying
- Please be Mindful this is a terraced house so music must be kept subtle in the evenings! The hot tub and garden area is not permitted for use after 10pm, the outdoor lighting will turn off at this time so please mind your step! This is an enforced restriction from the council.
- Wi-Fi Notice
- We provide complimentary Wi-Fi for guest use.
- The whiskey barrel has been used for making alcoholic products and will still smell of whisky/wine. When filled with tap water in areas of hard water, it can react to the wood and turn the wood milky/smelly. Whisky bands and oak are both strong and very high quality but bands are not galvanised and therefore will contain rust. Inside of the barrels will be charred, which creates the smokey flavour of the whiskey, therfore there will be some discolouration of the water.

- *Please be aware as we are always updating, improving and maintaining our homes that from time to time we may make changes with furniture/decor, change the hot tubs and facilities etc.. before we have a chance to change the photos. We will endeavour to update these professionally as soon as we can

- *Please ensure you take all personal belongings with you on departure. Any items left behind will be kept for up to 30 days. We don’t routinely contact guests, but if you think you’ve left something, just get in touch and we’ll do our best to help (postage and a small handling fee apply). After 30 days, unclaimed items will be donated or disposed of.
Guest access
Experience privacy and comfort at 'The Retreat.' As our valued guest, you will have the entire home to yourselves and will not be shared with other guests. The Garage in the garden is our private garage/laundry room and will remain locked during your stay. The garden is secure and there is no outside access to it. Enjoy every corner of this beautiful property without any interruptions. Relax, unwind, and make yourself at home in the spacious home and garden.
