Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Similar technology, called local storage, lets a site keep small pieces of information in your browser too. This page explains what this website uses and why.
The short version
Our own website only uses cookies and similar storage that are essential for it to work. We do not use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies.
The booking box on each property page is provided by Smoobu, our booking system. When it loads, Smoobu may set its own cookies, which are controlled by Smoobu under its own cookie and privacy policies.
The guest reviews on our home page are provided by Revyoos, a review service. When they load, your browser fetches the reviews and their images from Revyoos's servers, and Revyoos may set its own cookies, which are controlled by Revyoos under its own cookie and privacy policies.
Each property page shows a map of the home's approximate area provided by Google Maps. When the map loads, your browser fetches it from Google's servers, and Google may set its own cookies, which are controlled by Google under its own cookie and privacy policies.
If you are simply browsing the properties or sending an enquiry, our own site does not store anything in your browser.
What we use
The following is used only by property owners and managers who sign in to the site's admin area:
- Sign-in session (local storage): keeps you signed in securely between pages and visits. It is removed when you sign out.
- Admin preferences (local storage): remembers which property a manager last selected and whether a setup checklist has been dismissed.
- Menu layout (cookie): remembers whether the admin side menu is open or closed. It lasts for up to seven days.
Because these are strictly necessary for a service you have asked to use, the law does not require us to ask for your consent before using them.
Controlling cookies
You can view, block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Most browsers explain how to do this in their help pages. If you block essential storage, signing in to the admin area will not work, but you can still browse the site and send enquiries.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent with a cookie banner before any are used.
